And by acupuncturing senile mouse modelinduced by D-galactose to test the content of Cu-Zn SOD,T-AOC and GST in serum of themake-aged rats. It offer some primary gist for the hypothesis that delaying aging function ofacupuncture has direct relation ship with its function of anti-free radical, which providesome basements for the first stage of the research while probing further into the mechanismof delaying aging function of acupuncture.Methods:1. Clinical research: 43 old people had been selected. They were divided into twogroups on the basis of randomized controlled trial. Acupuncture group was treated withconventional therapy and acupuncture; while control group received conventional therapyonly. The clinic symptoms of aging, PULSES evaluation and content of SOD ofpre-treatment and post-treatment were observed.2. Animal experiment: Thirty healthy SD rats were randomly and evenly allocated intoacupuncture group, control group and common group(young group).We detected thecontent of Cu-Zn Superoxide Dismutase (Cu-Zn SOD),Total Anti-oxidant Ability (T-AOC)and Glutathione S-transferase (GST) of serum.Results:1. Clinical research showed that acupuncturing zusanli and guanyuan can better theclinic symptoms, PULSES evaluation definitely, and heighten the SOD simultaneously.There was significant difference between the two groups.2. Animal experiment showed that The content of Cu-Zn SOD were lower inacupuncture group and control group than that of common group obviously (P<0.05);Thecontent of Cu-Zn SOD was lower in control group than that of acupuncture groupobviously (P<0.05);The content of T-AOC were lower in control group than that ofcommon group obviously (P<0.05); The content of T-AOC were lower in control groupthan that of acupuncture group obviously (P<0.05);The content of GST shows nodifferences between the three groups. The animal experiment shows that acupuncture can heighten the Cu-Zn SODã€T-AOCcontent obviously by its function of anti-free radical.
