| Confucius Institute Online created by Hanban was launched in March2008.Although it has been reedited and upgraded several times and becomea relatively perfect Chinese language and cultural communication networkplatform, there are still some problems to solve. This article gives acomparative study of Confucius Institute Online，Goethe Institute websiteand Cervantes Institute website by means of content analysis, andsummarizes the main differences and similarities of teaching and culturalcommunication functions among the three websites. Based on that, thearticle provides suggestions for the development of Confucius InstituteOnline: to integrate resources systematically and add the function oflanguage-level test online, to enhance the level of the content ofcultural communication and advance with the times, and to strengthen theinteraction with social websites and the network techniques, with whichConfucius Institute Online can provide better services for Chineselanguage and cultural communication. |
