The Research On Explicit Self-esteem,Implicit Self-esteem And Self-disclosure Of College Students

Self-disclosure is also called self-exposure or self-revealing,which is an important condition to maintain individual mental health, which is also an important part of peoples normal social interaction. The research on self-esteem strengthens the attention to self,and self-esteem is the core of self.In order to explore the complex relationship between them,this study adopted JSDQ, SES, IAT for measurement tools,through descriptive statistics analysis,independent sample t-test,matching sample t-test,single factor analysis of variance and Pearson product-moment correlation analysis to deeply study the relationship between college students self-esteem and self-disclosure.This study is divided into two parts,the first one mainly investigated the characteristics of college students self-disclosure.The results show that (1) Level of self-disclosure to different targets is different. As a sequence, homosexual friends,mother,father,heterosexual friends.The disclosure to mother is significantly higher than to father. The’disclosure to homosexual friends is significantly higher than to heterosexual friends, and so on.(2) College students disclosure to heterosexual friends shows significant difference between arts and science.(3) College students disclosure to homosexual friends shows significant difference between one-child and non one-child.(4) Level of self-disclosure to different topics is different. As a sequence, study and work, interests, money, attitude, personality and body.Disclosure to personality shows significant difference between nationalities. Mongolian college students disclosure is significantly higher than han nationality students.The second one mainly investigated the relationships between self-esteem and self-disclosure.The results show that (1) Implicit self-esteem exists,which is not related with explicit self-esteem, they are two different structrues.(2)and(3)Mainly investigated the disclosure difference among four self-esteem structures,the differences refer to four targets ang six topics,the results are not introduced here.(4) The explicit self-esteem has positive correlation with the disclosure to father.(5) The explicit self-esteem has positive correlation with self-disclosure,mainly with attitude,money,personality and total mean points.
