The work of international Chinese teaching has achieved aworldwide attention already. With the mushrooming construction ofConfucius Institutes in several foreign countries, the education ofChinese at home to international students, who are becoming more likelyto choose to go to China to learn Chinese, is also under a rapiddevelopment. The basic work of Chinese education, the compilation oftextbooks, is not terminated since the first publication of the book.Moreover, the pace of composing is be accelerated when entering thenew century, which displays an extraordinary scenery of all flowersbloom together and contention of a hundred schools of thoughts.However, the contemporary overseas Chinese textbooks still exitconsiderable questions, because our compiling work is at the initialperiod of exploring and needed to ingest the experience of composing ofother second-language acquisition textbooks on the basis of linguistictheories; therefore, it is necessary to find a unique way to composeinternational Chinese textbooks. This dissertation includes five chapters: introduction,comprehensive study of compilation of overseas Chinese textbooks, thesurvey to Erlian International Language School, and the suggestions tothe compilers, users of the textbook, and the last conclusion. Theintroduction mainly demonstrates the reason for choosing this topic andsignificance; the first part reveals the historical and contemporarycondition of overseas Chinese textbooks compilation; the second is thesurvey about using Chinese books by the Mongolian students at ErlianInternational Language School, consisting of the brief schoolintroduction, diachronic and synchronical conditions of using certainChinese textbooks and the analysis of condition of Boya used in thisschool; the third part is on the suggestions to the compilers and users ofoverseas Chinese books; the last one concludes the whole dissertationand declaims the aims for writing this essay.
