Being as an important source of Chinese civilization, Qiang nationality carries both realistic responsibility and historical meaning. It’s a living fossil and living sample in researches into cultural ecological environment of nationalities in China. And Qiang cultural ecological preservation experimental zone is a protection area which is deeply endowed with national culture and embodies local geographical characteristics and representativeness. This thesis adopts various methods such as literature review, field inspection, etc so as to research into economic development, living conditions and culture conditions of Qiang cultural and ecological preservation experimental zone. Thus, relevant conclusions such as the current situation of Qiang cultural ecological environment, problems existing in the development, how to develop constructions could be drawn. The contents in Qiang cultural ecological environment are plentiful containing natural characteristics, historical re-productivity and non-renewability. The formation of cultural ecological environment has undergone a special process. Qiang region has many methods to construct cultural ecological environment such as active response to modernization, combination between mountain cultivation and tourism development, combination between culture development and construction of new countries, and focus on living protection. Of course, in the process of cultural ecological constructing, some problems gradually made its appearance. For example, people’s subjectivity was neglected in the construction process, and wrongly minimized the function of traditional values. Also, the construction of cultural ecological environment hasn’t been put into practice in people’s daily life. Worse still, culture industry still remains to be further improved. Faced with the question of how to construct cultural ecological environment, people should follow the following principles:on-the-spot principle, principle of proximity, and principle of sustainable development. Besides, people should also pay attention to the following aspects:first, great importance should be attached to the overall construction of cultural ecological environment, and cultural self-consciousness, what’s more, value the innovative protection of culture. Besides, establish the sustainable innovation mechanism of inheriting nationality’s folk culture, and guarantee mechanism of talents inheritance. In addition, take dynamic protection of culture seriously.Culture is the blood and soul of a nation, supporting economic construction of a society and promoting the development of social history. Cultural ecological environment regards culture together with social and natural environment in which culture exists as an organic whole. A particular culture has its specific soil for survival and cultural development should be included in the entire environment for human survival, especially in the background of social change and development. Minority regions possess abundant cultural ecological environment resources. Meanwhile, just as the crisis which natural ecology has been faced with, cultural ecological environment as well as its construction also faces severe challenges. Therefore, the establishment of cultural ecological preservation experimental zone is of great significance to protect cultural and ecological environment in minority regions.
