A Report On The Translation Of Scared To Death

This is a translation report for Scared to Death which was published in2007. The book mainly introduces several major natural and social crisis in the western world in recent decades, and reveals the very essence of the crisis. This translation practice report bases on excerpts from the translated Scared to Death, of which the Chapter15is my translation assignment. The report will give a thorough description of the completion of translation practice, supported by actual cases or examples from the text. This report will end with a summary and some personal experience and advice.There are four parts in this report. Part One is the translation project description. Part Two is the introduction to the source text and preparations. Part Three is about the description of the translation process, including analysis made to the source text and translation methods adopted. Part Four concludes the gains and limitations about the translation, and some suggestions for future translation.
