| Ai Siqi is an excellent philosopher, revolutionist and educator in the history of spreading and developing Marxist philosophy in China. The lifetime of Ai Siqi makes a great contribution to the propaganda of Marxism philosophy. He is an important promoter and practitioner to the Chinalization of Marxist philosophy in China. So people kindly called him "popular philosopher ". With fame spreading far and wide, his Popular Philosophy enlightens the millions of intellectuals who seek truth to throw themselves into the revolution of China. Hence one can see that, the study of the Chinalization and Popularization of Marxist philosophy in China cannot bypass Ai Siqi and his Popular Philosophy.In this paper, Ai Siqi’s Popular Philosophy is used as the investigation subject and is placed in the1930s to be researched. This text attempts to carry out the in-depth exploration and research on the relationship between Popular Philosophy and the controversy on Dialectic of Materialism. By examining the relationship of the above-mentioned, author believes that the birth, development and text features of Popular Philosophy, to some extent, were impacted by the controversy on Dialectic of Materialism in the1930s.Therefore, this article intends to study the Popular Philosophy by dividing it into five parts, and focuses on clarifying the effect of the controversy on Dialectic of Materialism to Popular Philosophy which consists of the second, third and fourth chapter. The specific content of this article is organized as follows:The first chapter is the introduction. It introduces something related to Ai Siqi and Popular Philosophy and summaries the reaches and documents about Popular Philosophy. It also tells the innovation and structure arrangement. The second chapter analyzes the international and domestic situation before the birth of the Popular Philosophy and elaborates the influence of the controversy on Dialectic of Materialism to the birth of the Popular Philosophy. The third Chapter mainly investigates the development and improvement of Popular Philosophy in the1930s from Ai Siqi’s active participation in the controversy on Dialectic of Materialism. Then it says that the development of Ai Siqi’s own ideology is also a great important reason for the constant improvement of Popular Philosophy. In the fourth chapter, because of the effect of the controversy on Dialectic of Materialism, Popular Philosophy was popular as well as had a unique structure arrangement. In addition, it discourses Popular Philosophy had dialectical thinking and was influenced by Soviet philosophy. The fifth chapter investigates the realistic meaning of Popular Philosophy and emphasizes its significance for today’s Popularization of Marxist philosophy in China. It then pointes out that the popularized of Popular Philosophy and the spirit of Ai Siqi are worthy of being learned by workers of Marxist theory today. |
