Aesthetic Characteristics And Artistic Value Of Kang Wei Paintings Art In Yulin Region Of Shannxi Province

Kang Wei Paintings in Yulin region of Shannxi Province has a long history and beautiful shape, which was included in the Second Batch of National Intangible Cultural Heritage in2008.However, with the acceleration of urbanization in China, Kang Wei Paintings as its folk decorative art has gradually fade from the view, even in the face of danger of disappearance. Regardless of the practical aspects of sustainable development either from the folk art or from the theoretical aspect of the protection of the intangible cultural heritage research, the author think Kang Wei Paintings in YuLin Region are fairly representative among the Kang Wei Paintings in Northern China and its value is self-evident. Therefore the author focuses primarily on the three aspects of the expedition in the study of the Yu Lin Region Kang Wei Paintings.First, the making process of Yu Lin Region Kang Wei Paintings of Shannxi Province; Second, the aesthetic characteristics and artistic value of Yu Lin Region Kang Wei Paintings; Third, Yu Lin Region Kang Wei Paintings’artistic protection and heritance. Thus, in this thesis the researches on Yu Lin Region Kang Wei Paintings of Shannxi Province are based on the field investigation. The author has understood and learnt the making process about Yu Lin Kang Wei Paintings and joined with the comparative study of the Kang Wei paintings in other areas in the northern China so more accurate position and induction of Yu Lin Region Kang Wei Paintings of Shannxi Province on aesthetic characteristics and artistic value are given.At the same time, the purpose to this thesis, not only let people feel the folk artistic charm of Kang Wei Paintings, but arouse more attention and protection consciousness of the people of the intangible cultural heritage.
