Kang Wei painting is a kind of traditional interior decoration art,which has unique value in Chinese folk art.The main producing area of Kang Wei painting is the Central Plains,and Shanxi is the main birthplace of the Central Plains culture.The art of Kang Wei painting is all over the areas of Shanxi.In the Shanxi folk art of Kang Wei Painting circles,there is a saying that goes "South Yuan(Xiang Yuan)North Dai(Daixian County),Yuanping is not at all bad”.As a part of the people's folk life,Xiangyuan Kang Wei painting in southeast Shanxi is a product of the concept of agrarian culture,which has the distinct practical value of life,the value of aesthetic art and the function of moral education.In 2008,it was listed in the second batch of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage.In recent years,all kinds of new things emerge one after another with the rapid development of science and society,and people's way of life changes with each passing day.caves andkangs were withdrawn from people's lives gradually.Thus,the Kang Wei paintings rely on the Kang are on the verge of extinction,and the living space of the old artists and craftsmen is slowly becoming smaller also.This paper aims to interpret and restore the art characteristics and the Folk culture connotation of the Xiangyuan Kang Wei painting of Shanxi,base on its environment,production process,inheritance and protection,and hope to arouse people's memory and attention to this folk art.This paper is divided into three parts,the first part is the introduction,which explains the reason and significance of this paper,research objectives,research innovation points and methods,literature review and so on.The second part is the text of the article,it analyses the artistic characteristics of the traditional Kang paintings in Xiangyuan on the basis of the previous literature and field investigation,and is in order to excavate the aesthetic characteristics and folk cultural connotations contained therein.This part is divided into four chapters: the first chapter summarizes the Xiangyuan area Kang Wei painting social and historical conditions and development process.The second chapter mainly analyzes the artistic characteristics of Xiang Yuan Kang Weipaintings,expounds its drawing technology,art form,craft grade,subject matter classification,color collocation,stylized style and so on,and then summarizes the aesthetic characteristics of Xiangyuan Kang Wei paintings on these bases.The third chapter is in a comparative view of Xiangyuan Kang Wei paintings,and mainly compare it with different areas of Kang paintings and different art types,to find out it's unique and internal development law of communication and intercommunication with other folk art forms.The fourth chapter studies and analyses the recipient's acceptance process,acceptance conditions,expectation vision and other factors on bases of the theory of reception aesthetics and the local folklore life,and summarizes the cultural connotation contained in Kang Wei painting.And then,this chapter investigates the acceptance effect after the improvement of Kang Wei painting,analyzes the contradictory relationship between "directed expectation" and "Innovation expectation" of the people in the new situation,and boosts the creative practice of the art of Kang Wei painting at present.The last part is the conclusion of this paper,it summarizes the research results as a whole.Only by going deep into the folk cultural characteristics behind Kang Wei painting and grasping itsinherent relationship with the contemporary social and cultural spirit,the traditional folk art in the Contemporary can be better inherited.
