In this thesis, we studied“Xran”words with multi-angle observation anddescription including“cheng ran”、“dangran”、“guran”、“suiran”、“ziran”、“zongran”and made explanations of them in the aspects of semantic, syntax, pragmaticand text, which are all on the background of text. This thesis includes five parts.Chapter One: Introducing the objective, purpose, significance andmethods of the research, source of language material, studying scope, andtheoretical backgrounds.Chapter Two: Inspecting the distribution of "Xran" words from the syntacticangle. The textual distribution of "Xran" words is flexible with diverse combination,and sometimes they can be removed.“chengran” and “dangran” have syntactic andsemantic self-sufficiency, and they both can separately act as a component of asentence."Xran" words are also used in conjunction with some modal particles, suchas“le(了)”、“ne(呢)”、“a(啊)”、“de(的)”、“la(啦)”、“ba(吧)”, orsome adversative conjunctions.Chapter Three: Summarizing several current dictionaries of the "Xran"words with their tagging, interpretation and differences of usage, and examining thesemantic personality of these six words. We also analyzed the using and disusingunder certain textual conditions.Chapter Four: Exploring the pragmatic and textual function of "Xran" words.In the aspect of their pragmatic function, we analyzed the "Xran" words and pointedout that they have meta lingual function and can highlight the known information. Inthe aspect of the textual function, we found that the "Xran" words have successivefunction, indicating function, limit function and the effect of conversationalsimulation. We also explained "Xran" words from a cognitive perspective of theirpragmatic and textual function.Chapter Five: We summed up the main opinion of the thesis and pointedout the deficiency of this thesis.
