In this paper, through the analysis of Thai students’ errors in using textconjunctive elements in Chinese writing, such as text conjunctions, conjunctiveadverbs and some idiomatic expressions, etc., we concluded that the errors werecaused not only by the complexity of Chinese language learning and the greatapplications of the avoidance strategy, but also by the lack of text instructiveconsciousness of the Chinese language teachers in writing teaching and theinadequate compiling concepts of text teaching in Chinese writing textbook.Furthermore, the paper has researched the feedback on the Chinese writingtextbook used by the junior undergraduates of Thailand Payap University and someChinese writing teachers in the form of questionnaire, and accordingly, we putforward some proposals on compiling Chinese writing textbook for Thai universitystudents. Hopefully, the paper can provide some useful help and reference for boththe Chinese writing-teaching for Thai students and the compiling of Chinese writingtextbook for Thai university students in the future.The whole paper is divided into four parts: the part of Introduction is mainlyfocused on talking about the raise of problem, the significance of the research, theresearch summary of the predecessors, the corpus sources of the paper, the relevanttheories, the research methods, and the potential innovations. The second chapter acts as the emphasis of the paper, in which Thai students’ errors in using textconjunctive elements in their Chinese writing have been investigated and the maincauses of the errors have also been analyzed more objectively from the aspects ofstudent, teacher and textbook with the data arrangement of the questionnaires as areference.The third chapter is about the compiling proposals for the future Chinesewriting textbook for Thai university students on the basis of the investigation results.The fourth chapter is the conclusion part, which has summarized the main ideas andhas pointed out the deficiencies of the paper as well.
