A Study On The Development And Influence Of Yanbian Korean Cultural Undertakings After Liberation

Culture is the national’s blood and people’s spiritual home. China is a multi-ethnic nation, its culture reflects multi-ethnic features. Chinese Korean is a cross-border ethnic with a inclusive and open culture which developed rapidly and formed its own characteristics after leaving the motherland. Yanbian is the largest Korean inhabited area in China. The Communist Party of China takes effective measures to develop minority education, respects ethnic customs and religious beliefs, and maintains the rights of using their native language after liberation. These measures enable the rapid development of minority culture system. Yanbian’s culture has a good foundation and the trend of rapid development. Chinese Korean cultural developed slowly during the Cultural Revolution. After the Third Plenary Session, the cultural undertakings of Yanbian developed rapidly and prosperously. The thesis focuses on the background and process of Korean cultural development in Yanbian area after liberation, discusses the essential influence and positive role of the cultural development on the promotion of national identity, national unity, stability of border areas and enrichment of cultural connotation.The first chapter is the introduction, including the purpose, significance, research methods and the explanation of related concepts of the thesis.The second chapter introduces the background of the Yanbian cultural undertakings development. The culture of Northeast Korean is diversified because of its special geographical and historical environment. Korean traditional culture, colonization characteristics under the rule of Japanese imperialism and Chinese culture became the foundation of the development of cultural undertakings after liberation and provided favorable conditions. Meanwhile, the establishment of the Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture and the implementation of national policies provided a good social and cultural environment for the the development of cultural undertakings, and promoted the development of cultural undertakings.The third chapter focuses on the overview of the development of Yanbian Korean culture and arts, heritage museums, books, news publishing industry, and analyzes the process that Yanbian Korean cultural undertakings gradually developed, grew and prospered after liberation.The fourth chapter discusses the essential influence of Yanbian Korean cultural development on the national identity, national unity, stability of border areas and enrichment of Chinese cultural connotation.The fifth chapter is the conclusion and it is a summary of the full text.
