This report is based on the translation task-translating three English scientific literatures into Chinese. This paper is a reflection and conclusion of the translation task of three scientific literatures. Numerous translation theories have been put forward, and if the translators want to apply them skillfully, they should utilize them in numerous translation practices. This is the meaning of this paper. There are three chapters:the task description, the case analysis and the task conclusion. The scientific text type usually uses many professional terms, objective expressions, passive voice and various subordinate clauses. Especially, in the biological litratures, the type is more obvious, for example, strict structure, coherent logic and accurate wording. In order to get a good translation of biological long sentences, the translator should learn not only some professional knowledge, but also some methods of translation. In this paper, there are three classifications:simple long sentence, subordinate compound sentence and compound complex sentence. In addition, this paper compares Chinese with English. Chinese emphasizes parataxis and English emphasizes hypotaxis. There are four translation methods-sequencing, reversing, splitting and combining for analyzing some long sentences in the task. In the practice, there are some other translation methods, for example, word conversion, word adding and word omitting. In the end of this paper, a summary has been made. For example, before setting on tranlation, the translator should fully understand the text type; when meeting some difficult long sentences, the translator should make clear the structure of the sentence, the inner logic and so on.
