The paper is starting from Woodblock print of Anti—Japanese Base of Shanxi Province,focuses on its art activities,combines printmaker and prints analysis and revealing its historical contribution,in order to form a more systematic thematic studies.Because of the special location Anti—Japanese Base of Shanxi Province like a sharp knife inserted into the heart of the enemy,It is not only formed a huge threat to the Japanese invaders,but also created a nutrient—rich fertile soil for the further development of emerging woodcut art.It also provides an excellent opportunity for the woodcut arts services in the revolutionary struggle.woodcut workers engaged in extensive art activities in Anti—Japanese Base of Shanxi Province.For instance,they set up a lot of woodcut arts organization that provides an important foundation for the development of woodcut arts in the base;founder of a variety of pictorial and magazines,providing a good platform for woodcut active play militancy of cultural weapon".Woodcut artists deep into people’s daily life,combining with art forms which people loved such as paper cutting,window grilles,New Year pictures,etc.to create a large number of excellent works.Woodblock prints of Anti—Japanese base of Shanxi Province have a strong national style,fully embodies the " popularization" and "nationalization" features.It made a large contribution to the formation of Chinese modern art new milestone.This study of the thesis suggests that,its contribution to society is mainly reflected in "militancy" of woodcut and to promote cultural development in Shanxi province;its artistic contribution is mainly reflected in the "nationality" of woodcut art and promotes the development of "New year picture...
