Qi Junzao was a famous politician, poet and calligrapher in the middle and later periods of Qing Dynasty in China, and he was famous for his poem and calligraphy. For a long time, the research for Qi was centered mainly on literary art and political practices while as the other sides of him remained untouched. This thesis tries to analyze the whole of his thought from the time background, life vicissitude and academic achievement on the basis of philosophy and attempts to account for the relevant influence.The thesis is composed of three parts which are introduction, main text and conclusion. The main text consists of four chapters:in chapter one the thought of "Dao" will be introduced. Emphasis is laid on Qi’s historic background and academic experiences, and especially the "He Gao case" which exerted an great influence on the formation of his thought, and by studying his master Chen Yongguang and the philosophy "Being honest to seek the truth" of Tongcheng style to explore the origin of his unique thought "Being benevolent to seek the truth"; his thought on the value of life and others theories such as "the ultimate care"; his dissemination and generalization of "benevolence" and his research and explication of the theory "Dao". The second chapter is based on the influence of his thought by "Song" and "Han" styles,focuses on the explication of the "knowledge"-oriented. Through the couplets, poems and other materials and historical documents, it discusses his contribution in the academic. It highlights the "science" in the direction of the analysis, the "academic opinion classics" and "temperament" poetics theory. The third chapter mainly highlights his political ideal, political thought and practice, moral personality and practice Kung Fu, achievements and contributions in the aspects of "politics" by Qi Junzao official history of nearly forty years. It mainly discusses on "essence of generation of Confucian", and summarizes Qi Junzao’s thought by concluding the "Tao" and "Xue" and "Zheng" system. The originality of this paper lies on the logic construction of thoughts system research of the characters, the establishment of character philosophy system from the vertical point, the connection of "Dao""Xue"" Zheng" in the framework."Confucian scholars take roles of both clergy and philosophical in the public image and self-image, which forces us to think that they are not only the literati, but also intellectuals. Confucian intellectuals are activists, who take pragmatic considerations into facing realistic and political world, and change it from the inside. He believes that, human nature can improve by their own efforts, inherent virtue exists in human society, and man is an integral part of nature that enables him to keep critical attitude on influential people."...
