The Spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period was a war-torn era of hegemonybetween feudal lords, was also the Chinese culture played brilliant era of movement. It was the special erathat gave birth to the Chinese traditional culture. As an important part of Chinese traditional culture, thewisdom of Chuang tzu penetrated the history’s dust and has been shining for thousands of years. The focusof Chuang tzu’s annotation just likes mushrooms are emerging in endlessly, but because of the ideology isbeen covered just likes cloud and fog, so it is difficult to be completely unified to interpret. Therefore,every historical period has its unique annotation, Zhuangzi Fawei was the interpretation for Chuang tzu inthe period of the late Qing dynasty and the early Republic of China. The article will give a detailed analysisand research on Zhuangzi Fawei, so as to explore the interpretation of Zhongtai for ideology of Chuang tzu.And the paper consists of three parts.The first one mainly discusses the writing motivation of Zhongtai for Zhuangzi Fawei. Through hisera background and subordinate TaiGu school of study, we find out that he gave the annotation for Chuangtzu by a traditional method, and he tried to revive Confucianism which was in decline.The second one mainly studies the writing style and writing feature of Zhuangzi Fawei. First of all, tosimply analyze the evolution of Chuang tzu from ancient to today and the belongings of the inner, outer andmiscellaneous chapters, in order to determine the according book for the classification style of ZhuangziFawei. Second, the paper illustrates the writing characteristics of Zhuangzi Fawei from three aspects:accurate check, rigorous argument; explaining argumentation by Confucian Classical works; achievingcomprehensive study, taking a focus on the full text.The third one mainly studies the performance of Confucian tendency for Zhuangzi Fawei. Firstly, thethird part interprets the Zhuangzi Fawe’s idea of Chuang tzu’s ideology coming out of Confucius fromthree aspects: Chuang tzu respected Confucius, to describe Chuang tzu by Mencius, Chuang tzu and theBook of Changes. And to show the tendency of its Confucianism; Secondly, to interprets the Confucianpositive thinking of Chuang tzu from two aspects: inner perfectness and outer king, and to show ZhuangziFawei’s Confucian tendency. The research on the book Zhuangzi Fa Wei is in the ascendant development, regardless of the researchon compiling style, writing characteristics or the content’s interpretation. And the paper only has given anelementary discuss for that.
