As A Two-dimensional Plane Art Value Of Calligraphy In The Application Of Semiotics

Calligraphy is a traditional Chinese cultural form, own property and embodied inthe works of point, line and plane fully explains the calligraphy is two-dimensionalgraphic art, this article in the west to find commonalities between semiotics andcalligraphy, summed up the characteristics of the calligraphic symbols as well as inthe realm of semiotics in the two-dimensional plane.Calligraphy symbols in the application of two-dimensional plane design is acombination of calligraphy in "the white when the black" nakedness "phase" of sometheoretical characteristics, simple in expression form has instructional effect ongraphic design concept. Under such a background this paper will in-depth study as a two-dimensional calligraphy art and semiotics, the relationship between "artistic text" ofChina and the west phonetic symbols for the same level of study, take its generality,though in different cultural background of symbols but have the same properties,function, and through the intersection calligraphy and semiotics theory, explore thetwo-dimensional plane of the value of calligraphy in plane design and application.
