China and Japan are, neighbors, its have a long history of friendly exchanges. The bilateral geographical proximity and close historical and cultural traditions, and both are prone countries of the sudden catastrophic events such as earthquakes, the two countries have occurred big earthquake which shook the world in recent years, the news media as an important carrier of record major historical events this twice a disaster of a comprehensive report. Photojournalism as an important means for the media to give the reader an intuitive visual impression, in the comparison between the two journalism status and historical development of the subject, after all, an excellent focus.Although there are many similarities the two countries, but the development of journalism is very different as a whole in modern times, especially in the news concept, and in the treatment of sudden catastrophic events photo coverage (May12,2008Wenchuan earthquake and ethics in Japan Marchll,2011Great East Japan Earthquake, for example) is particularly worthy of attention.Through the two earthquakes photography statistical analysis, this article summed up the focus of the content of the photographs between the two countries, from the focus of the two countries photojournalism ethical considerations.
