Children’s social adaptation plays an important role in the development of their physical and mental health.Children who have well developed social adaptation can effectively and properly communicate with others in a specific social situation,successfully complete the task and produce positive results.Children’s mental health and interpersonal communication are greatly affected by children’s emotional understanding,which is an important research topic in children’s sociality and one of the important factors affecting the social adaptation of children.So many factors could influence the development of children’s social adaptation and emotional understanding,especially family factors.This paper,taking family as the breakthrough point,discusses the relationship of parental meta-emotional philosophy,children’s emotional understanding and social adaptation,which provides data support for the children to master the correct scientific emotional coping style,promote the understanding of children’s emotion and the development of social adaptation.In this study,185 children aged 3~5 years old and their parents in 3 kindergartens in Xi’an were selected as subjects.On the basis of the previous literature research,the characteristics of parental meta-emotional philosophy,children’s emotional development and social adaptation are investigated by using the methods of literature analysis and measurement,and the relationship of children’s emotional understanding,parental meta-emotional philosophy and the social adaptation of children is also discussed.The results of the study are as follows:1.Children’s emotional understanding ability increases with age,and there is age difference.2.In China,parents who hold the concept of emotional-coaching are the most.In addition,there are significant gender differences in the concept of meta emotion among parents,and there is no significant difference in education,monthly salary and age.3.The frequency of positive social adjustment is relatively high,and the frequency of negative social adjustment is relatively low.There was significant age difference in the dimension of anxiety,fear and sensitivity,and there were significant gender differences in anger attack.4.Mother’s meta-emotional philosophy is related to the social adaptation of children.Mother’s emotional-coaching philosophy can predict the social adaptation of young children positively.The idea of mother’s emotion-dismissing philosophy and the emotion-dysfunction all negatively predict the social adaptation of children.At the same time,mother’s emotion-coaching philosophy is positively related to the expression recognition and the ability of mixed emotion understanding of children.5.Father’s emotion-coaching philosophy is negatively related to anger and aggression of children,and is positively related to sensitive cooperation.Father’s emotion-dismissing and emotion-dysfunction philosophy is positively related to anger and aggression of children.In addition,father’s emotion-dismissing philosophy can predict children’s social adaptation negatively.6.Children’s emotion recognition,belief and ’desire emotion are negatively correlated with anxiety and fear,desire emotion,mixed emotion and sensitive cooperation are positively correlated,and mixed emotion and anger attack are negatively correlated.Children’s emotion recognition can significantly predict children’s social adaption.According to the results of the study,this study proposes the following research suggestions from two aspects of family and kindergarten:1.parents should change their ideas and attach importance to their own concept of meta emotion;2.parents should set an example for children by example;3.parents should transfer their knowledge of emotional understanding and social adaptation to children in a reasonable way;4.kindergartens should guide and intervene the choice of parents’ meta emotional philosophy;5.kindergartens should set up characteristic courses and carry out experience activities. |
