On Rorty’s Concept Of Truth As Review In His New Pragmatism

Rorty，as a representative of the new American pragmatism philosopher，whosethought inherited and developed the tradition of American pragmatism points of view，reflected on and criticized the essence of western traditional philosophy． Post-philosophy and cultural viewpoint of new pragmatism put forwarded by Rorty makes thewestern philosophy change．This paper stating the origin of his thought，the destruction of traditional mirrortheory of truth and stressing view of truth meanwhile also closely combining the truthwith other theories of Rorty examines his post-philosophical culture view from thetransformation of philosophical position to the philosophical function containing the newpragmatism political ideal and fully shows the generation and development of truth．The paper is divided into three chapters．Chapter I introduces the history evolutionof truth view of western philosophy，research and development of truth view ofphilosophers in different stages，introduces the Classical Pragmatism to crack theprevious view of truth as well as the background and value of Rorty’s thought Chapter IIdiscusses the establishment of new pragmatism of Rorty connotation and characteristicsin detail and investigates the neo-pragmatism creative， collaborative， accidentalcharacteristic， metaphorical and shows the picture of the pragmatic theory oftruth．Chapter III introduces post-philosophy and cultural viewpoint from the newpragmatism extension of the development of a new philosophy of pragmatism，whereposition and task of philosophy has changed meanwhile discusses the hot issues of thesociety combined with social practice from the view of truth．...
