| Simultaneous interpreting refers to an interpreting method which interpreters doingthe interpreting uninterrupted and synchronously from the source language to the targetlanguage.Along with China’s reform and opening up, the demand for foreign language talentsare gradually increasing, especially the simultaneous interpreters which known as "thetop level" of simultaneous interpreter. After all, both large and small internationalconferences, or business negotiation or other situations involving foreign issues need thequalified and skillful simultaneous interpreting talents, even the widely used language,English, there are few interpreters are able to do the simultaneous interpreting, someother language less used than English, just like French, Russian, their simultaneousinterpreters are rare, further, the interpreters, especially those professional simultaneousinterpreters in economy, trade, science and technology talents, and other fields ofpolitical science and law science is almost blank. So, how to train outstandingsimultaneous interpreters has become the concern of many scholars.This paper is an analysis from the perspective of cognitive theory, explained how tocultivate an excellent simultaneous interpreting interpreter and some strategies ofsimultaneous interpreting.In the first part, the author describes the definition ofsimultaneous interpreting and its market demand, and in the second part, the authorexplained some of the research results of cognitive psychology and principles, andelaborated the relationship between cognitive psychology and foreign languageacquisition, during the third part, the author focuses on the relationship betweencognitive psychology and simultaneous interpreting, the fourth part is the qualitiessimultaneous translation interpreters should have, how to cultivate an excellentsimultaneous interpreter and some strategies of simultaneous interpreting, the last part isthe conclusion and some experiences of the author. |
