English writing is a very important part in English teaching, and it is one of the fourbasic skills in English learning. However, English writing is always a difficult job for teachersand students in English learning. In order to find an effective way to improve students’ writingmotivation and English writing ability, the author tries to apply interactive teaching method inEnglish writing class.On the basis of English teaching practice, there are six steps in this paper: to confirm thetheme, to draft, to discuss, to modify, to evaluate, and to write interactively. There are teachersand students, students and students’ interactive writing program. The interactive teachingmethod can create a free atmosphere of learning for students, and it is the effective way toimprove their English writing interest.To compare interactive teaching results with traditional teaching achievement, the authorhas carried on the classification of test. The author carried on the comparative analyticalexperiments with the interactive writing teaching and traditional teaching methods. This studyis designed and then implemented in Class Seven and Class Eight,Class (7) is theexperimental class, the teacher uses the interactive teaching method in teaching; Class (8) isthe traditional teaching method. The class period arrangements of two classes and students’writing level are same. To test each student’s writing level with writing experiment, the authoruses social science statistical software (SPSS) to analyze students’ performance. The resultshows that the using of interactive teaching method in teaching can achieve better teachingeffect.There are six parts in this paper. The first part is preface. Introduce the problems existingin the college English writing course, research background and significance. The secondchapter is literature review, presenting respectively from the social interaction theory, theoryof constructivism to the concept of interactive aspects of the review, and evaluation ofinteractive teaching theory research both at home and abroad. The third chapter mainlydiscusses from the perspective of teachers and students to investigate the current collegeEnglish writing teaching. Based on an analysis of a questionnaire on the part of teachers andstudents, respectively from two aspects of teachers’ teaching and students’ learning problems in writing are put forward. The fourth chapter expounds the application of interactive teachingin the classroom. The author divides it into three processes: pre-writing, writing, post-writingon the base of the predecessor’s studying. The fifth chapter is an interactive English teachingexperiments and statistical data, and data analysis. In this section, the author chooses twoclasses as experimental subject in writing interactive experiments. Experimental data showsthat the experimental class students’ English writing scores are raised higher than that of thecontrol class. The last part is the conclusion. To review the entire paper, I believe that writinginteractive teaching model can effectively improve the students’ writing scores. However, thisstudy is the author conducted only within the scope of the power point to try and practice, thevalidity of the practice in the future to be studied and discussed.
