Among his paintings, the subject of visiting steles were primary, the Album of Visiting to the Song-Luo Area was the one of consequence. This thesis discusses about the album above and trying to specify its origin、spread and order. I also point out the background of Huang Yi’s age and the characteristic of this album through investigating the origin of the steles visiting and the evolution of the paintings of steles visiting subject. I show that this album pay more attention to the locations and the geographical conditions of the monuments and the steles by the means of image and text-pictures. The album reveals some solitude and desolate atmosphere which appeals people to advocate and protect the ancient cultural heritage. This may be the original intention of the painter.
