With the rapid development of social modernization in the new century, culture has shown more andmore powerful effect in the process of promoting human history; its development is in an unprecedentedway to keep pace with the times. Advanced culture, is bound to spread its value through various Medias,providing people with the most powerful mind power and spiritual support. Therefore, cultural constructionshould focus first on what type people do in cultural consumption, what is the characteristic of consumption,why people choose such a cultural consumption. For behind each consumption choice, it is a choice of ideaand choice of value. Whether the cultural construction can constantly meet people’s needs is directly relatedto whether it can play its inherent ideological function effectively and the effectively realize the integrationof the whole social ideology. Similarly, cultural construction also directly leads to the trend of thedevelopment of cultural consumption, presenting the related characteristics, and deeply influences thestructure evolution of cultural consumption.This paper tries to study the interactive relationship between cultural consumption and culturalconstruction of the Henan urban resident’s consumption group. We think that the cultural construction anddevelopment is inseparable from an active, vibrant cultural consumption market, is inseparable from thesummary and control between cultural consumption characteristics and the general law, also should payattention to various phenomena in the practice of cultural consumption, continuing to adjust the relevantcultural policy based on it, only by doing this will cultural construction not be a castle in the air; of course,to last a healthy and prosperous cultural consumption, it must understand the connotation of culturalconstruction accurately, grasping the direction of cultural construction, especially now the material isbecoming increasingly affluent, people’s demand for cultural consumption becomes more and moreprominent and urgent. Therefore, it is particularly important to strengthen the study of interaction betweencultural consumption and cultural construction among the urban residents in our province.
