With the development of economy and the deepening of the reform and opening up, China’s foreign cultural exchange is very frequent, in the process of communication between Chinese and western culture, western aesthetics ideas have had an impact on the development of Chinese painting, Chinese painting once appeared in the history of the low water period. At present, the college of traditional Chinese painting education thought and idea lag, caused the Chinese painting education into trouble. For a long time, Chinese painting courses are taught in the curriculum arrangement, teachers and students creative aspects still remain in the practical skill level, will study skills techniques as the main content, such as line using the technology, modelling ability skill, simply the pursuit of creation, and research on works of art style, thought connotation deeply enough. To this end, the author based on the theory of mind, through to the traditional Chinese philosophyand Chinese traditional culture spirit of research, the plight of the traditional Chinese painting education is analyzed, and the problems existing in thetraditional Chinese painting teaching, puts forward the vision of the education of Chinese painting conception and presses for solution of the problem, put forward applying the mind theory to college practical teaching and the students thinking in the study of Chinese painting and the suggestion. So that the students in learning Chinese paintings, strengthen the mind, improve personal quality, improve the aesthetic value and aesthetic appeal of Chinese painting, further passing on traditional Chinese painting art, and the inheritance, innovation and development of Chinese painting.
