Xing Shao’s name is Zicai, his name is Ji either.He was born in Mao,Hejian in Northern Qi Dynasty. He was a poet and parallel prose writer either. He had several jobs, they were provincial governor, the Former the hussars West Yanzhou provincial governor, the Piao Qi general,the head of the secretariat, the minister of education, Tejin and so on. Xing Shao is one of the most famous writers in Northern Qi Dynasty. He lead the literature of the Eastern Wei and Northern Qi for a long time. Xing Shao’s Family learned the Confucianism for several century, Xing Shao was influenced by all aspects of thinking, so his ideology had characteristics of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. In the Confucianism, Xing Shao focused on Confucian’s social function, he thrusted the Confucianism to a high position, he was practicing Confucianism through his whole life, he had ambition in the officialdom, he loved his parents and family; In Buddhist thought, it was a very popular religion in Northern Dynasty, Buddhist was also accepted by scholar stratum. Xing Shao had a very in-depth study of Buddhist theory, this can be seen in many inscriptions he wrote. He also had his own point of view, such as he objected to the view of the death immortal; in Taoism, Xing Shao pursued the demeanor of Wei Jin dynasties, he often consciously or unconsciously performanced as the style in the details of his daily life. Xing Shao Practical creations were of high quality. They assembled the style of simplicity and power. In the poetry, Xing shao had a good performance even though he is a little inferior to Wen zi sheng. The most important is that he merged the spirit of realism handed down from Jian’an era and the gorgeous and elegant poetry style of the Southern Dynasties. Xing Shao’s most prominent contribution to literature was his poetry theory, although fragmentation, his view from his writings influenced later poets.
