The Exderimental In Orchertra Form Of Pipa Solo "Dou"

This thesis is focus on musical and distinction of composition for "Dou" and "Dou’s Extension". In the process of solo composing, I was trying to explore the various sounds from traditional Chinese instrument. It combined with contemporary composition elements; and summarized the extension of sound structure to indicate the connection of two forms, which further explores the unity of individuality and commonness.This thesis consists of two parts. The first part analyzed the sound of "Dou", the organization of its pitch and the structure. While the second part makes a comprehensive comparison and research of "Dou" in terms of phonic resources, the organization of its pitch, composing structure and the orchestrate arrangement, etc. Finally it sums up the creation techniques of two pieces and the relationship between each other.
