On the theoretical background of China’s history of learning inrecent300years, this thesis from Zhou-Zuoren’s view of literary historyproceed with finding the origin and development of new literature. WithZhou-Zuoren’s work The Origin Of Chinese New Literature, it discussesthat Zhou-Zuoren’s potential words of using late Ming Dynasty literatureclear the way for Chinese new literature.This thesis includes the following three chapters. In chapter one,from the point of literature, it tries to prove the reasonableness oftheoretical frame of China’s history in recent300years. On the basis ofscholars like Liang-Qichao and Zhou-Zuoren’s study, it tries to bring theorigin and development of new literature into the whole China’s learninghistory. Chapter two uses Zhou-Zuoren’s work The Origin Of ChineseNew Literature as a starting point, and researches Zhou-Zuoren’spotential words of trying to build the theoretical frame of China’s literacy history in recent300years. On Zhou-Zuoren’s learning field of vision,this thesis inspects literature in the Ming and Qing Dynasties’Spontaneous modernity and the relationship between literature in theMing and Qing Dynasties and western culture separately, and tries toprove Zhou-Zuoren always pays attention to the internal connectionbetween confluence of Chinese and Western literature and Chinese newliterature. In chapter three, with the comparison of HuShi’s Fifty years ofChinese Literature, from different learning field of visions, the thesisdiscusses how to build new literature. It illuminates the meaning ofZhou-Zuoren tries to build the theoretical frame of China’s literacyhistory in recent300years, and find out his ultimate aim which is to builda new healthy view of literary history conforming to physics and ethics.This thesis adopts the method of combination of text study andhistorical textual research to analyze Zhou-Zuoren’s view of literaryhistory, aiming to provide a new angle for the research of Zhou-Zuoren’sview of literary history and provide a few references for the laterresearchers.
