The Parable Skill And Analogy In Ming And Qing Novel Comment

Comment is a main form of ancient Chinese literature criticism, which prevailed during Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty and inherited so far. Novel commentary edition, as a special kind of literary works, whose independent value of text is given by the aesthetics and theory of literature. Combining closely novel text, it has the functions of assisted reading and communication. Up to now, the research of novel comment is focused on comprehensive study, literary theory, individual critics and novel commentary edition.This paper focuses on parable skill and analogy, which using in the Ming and Qing novel comment. The reason of using parable skill and analogy for novel comment is discussed from philosophy, psychology, literary theory and critic’s individual factors. The value of parable skill and analogy in novel comment is proved not only normal rhetoric methods, but also contain rich cultural connotation。 There are four chapters in this paper. The first part is about the application of parable skill and analogy on Ming and Qing novel commentary edition. The second part is summarizing the value and characteristic of parable skill and analogy in novel comment.The third part is researching the reason of using parable skill and analogy for novel comment based on epistemology, psychology, expression, style similarity, individual factors, etc. The last part is discussing the parable skill and analogy which is inherited by the modern critics.
