A Study On ZiDiShu Adapted From The Legends In The Ming And Qing Dynasties

ZiDiShu is a folk art created and performed by Manchu Eight Banners of the Qing Dynasty.It is a exceedingly distinctive literary style in the field of rap literature in the Qing Dynasty and plays an important role in the development of Chinese popular literature which has a special literary,historical,and folk values.It mainly tells stories in verse,these stories come from a variety of sources.Among them,Ming and Qing Legends occupy a considerable proportion.However,the current in-depth study of its adaptation art is limited to the field of fiction.This paper makes a comparative study between the ZiDiShu and the Ming and Qing Legends,mainly discussing the artistic features of the adapted ZiDiShu,focusing on highlighting its own characteristics.The aim is to sum up the rules of adaptation and deepen the understanding of the ZiDiShu on the basis of understanding the details of adaptation.The thesis includes introduction,four chapters and conclusion.The introduction first gives a brief presentations to the general situation of the ZiDiShu,including its concept,origin,edition and position in classical literature.Secondly,it summarizes the relevant research results,and points out the text basis,research methods,purposes,research significance and innovative points of this paper.The first chapter is to grasp the object of study from a macro perspective.Its first section combs out the title of the adapted text and the times based on the full familiarity with the two literary theme,and sums up the tendency of the adaptation of the legends.These preparations lay a foundation for the next study.The second section mainly analyses the conditions of adaptation,and discussing the historical origin and realistic factors of the adaptation.including the relationship between rap literature and opera literature and the recipient himself.The third section briefly discusses the adaptation of the legendary forms between them,which is manifested in the changes of text forms and the mode of performance.This section complements the content of the second chapter.Chapter two enters into the interior of the text and analyses the artistic innovation of ZiDiShu.The first section is about the discussion of plot setting.There are three main ways of plot adaptation: inheritance,increment and subtraction,and fine-tuning.The reasons for each way of adaptation are analyzed.The second section is about the adaptation of the characters.The transformation of the descriptive techniques of the characters and the change of the typical images are the important contents to explain.The third section analyses its linguistic features from three aspects,it reflected in the poetic,popular,philosophical.In addition to the analysis of the content of the text,this chapter also has a theoretical summary.The third chapter analyses the narrative art of them.Firstly,illustrating the narrative characteristics of opera literature and rap literature are analyzed in terms of their different ways of presenting stories,from the traditional perspective.Secondly,it focuses on the narrative perspective,narrative time and narrative sequence of the two by using western narrative theory.Chapter four discusses the aesthetic appreciation of the adaptation.Exquisiteness,sentimentality and secularization are the main aesthetic characteristics of the aesthetic.The conclusion part not only summarizes the whole article,but also discusses the value of adapting the Ming and Qing Legends and the ZiDiShu.Its value is embodied in the dissemination of Ming and Qing Legends and the ZiDiShu.the promotion of the cultural value of popular literature,and the inheritance and protection of national culture.Finally,it explains the shortcomings of this paper and the direction to be studied in the future.
