Obsessive Compulsive Disorder(OCD) is a kind of neuroses which focuses on compulsive symptoms with repeatedly irrational faith, emotional intention or behavior. But the faith, emotional intention or behavior appeared are far away from reality. The individual can clearly realize that he/she is the source of impulse and concept and he/she will try to restrain anxiety through some actions. The process of restraining brings the individual much agony yet. Obsessive metacognition means to help, monitor and adjust cognition of the individual himself/herself and has a significant relationship with OCD that it forecasts the symptoms of it. This study aims at surveying the characteristics of obsessive metacognition about college students and on this basis discusses the relationship between obsessive metacognition and obsessive-compulsive level.This research selects240college students from one college in Changchun. With using Padua Inventory and Metacognition Questionnaire-30(MCQ-30), author has drawn three conclusions below after investigation:(1)In general, the impaired control of mental activities is the most serious among four dimensions in scale. There is no significant difference in total scores and each dimension in sex.However, the differences among four grades is significant.(2)Male have higher degree than female on metacognitive capability but have no significant difference. Total scores and dimensions in four grades have significant differences but in cognitive self-consciousness is not significant.(3)There is significant positive correlation between obsessive metacognition and obsessive-compulsive level(P<0.01).High-low obsessive-compulsive symptoms groups have significant differences in total scores and dimensions of metacognition(P<0.001)and high group is significantly higher than the low one.
