The Research On The Book Of Songs Of Sun Zuoyun

The Book of Sounds is the essence of the ancient Chinese people’s wisdom. It isnot only the first poetry anthology, but also the first anthology of folklore in theliterature history of China. Mr. Sun Zuoyun, who studied The Book of Sounds fromvarious perspectives, such as literary, history, folklore, anthropology and so on, is afamous scholar in the contemporary literature of China. He put forward many novelviews which are not proposed by the other scholars before. Therefore, it is meaningfulfor the latter to sum up Mr. Sun’s researches on The Book of Sounds.This paper can be divided into four parts. The first part of the paper is about theacademic experiences, from which can be seen the guidance of Mr. Sun and theliterature works which show his important points. The second part will summarize theresearch production of Mr. Sun, which can help us understand more about ZHOUDynasty. Part Three will expound Mr. Sun’s research techniques. Mr. Sun gotachievement in many territories of study, so his research on The Book of Sounds has alot of technique. And the last part will discuss Mr. Sun’s academic status.
