The way of thinking has not been known before the advent of philosophy; it has becomethe object of research since philosophy came into being. Study on the mode of thinking is theeternal theme of philosophy research, but its content and significance is different in differenttimes; it is the product of the history and the era. The practice in one time decided theproblems that people need to solve, and the nature of the problem decided the people’s way ofthinking. The thinking mode which adapts to the nature of problem can solve the problem.This paper seriously grasps the spirit of the times. In order to adapt to the needs of "war andrevolution", and in thinking of "what is the modern Chinese society, and how to reformmodern Chinese society". Mao Zedong applies the principles of Marx, on the basis of Chinesedialectical thinking mode to materialism, with materialistic dialectics critically transformedChinese traditional thinking mode, and combine theory with practice, the proletarianrevolutionary practice and theory of sublimation, which goes beyond the traditional Chinesemode of thinking, form their own creative way of thinking of Materialistic Dialectics--MaoZedong thought. From the perspective of contemporary mode of thinking, this papersynthetically applies the Marx’s theory, history of the Communist Party of China, politicalscience, history, law and other basic theory and method, to analyzing Mao Zedong’s way ofthinking.The second chapter discusses the background and the conditions in which Mao Zedong’sthought formed. The domestic and international background, as well as the personalconditions of Mao Zedong’s Thought, will be discussed. It points out that Mao Zedong’s wayof thinking is the products of the war and revolution and is the historical necessity.The third chapter discusses the historical process of the formation of Mao Zedong’sthought. Through analyzing Mao Zedong’s Thought from budding to the historical course ofmature, it can be concluded that Mao Zedong’s way of thinking is accompanied by theformation of Mao Zedong’s Thought, and his thought is also the historical process ofcombination of Marx Lenin’s and China’s concrete reality.The fourth chapter discusses the content of Mao Zedong thought.
