This thesis investigates Duan Yucai’s Corrections in the third Sections of Annotation to Shuo WenJieZi(Duanzhu)by exhaustive collection of date,item-by-item check and classification. Xu Shen is the first people that make Six Books theoretical system in Chinese, he attempt to reveal the original meaning of the characters, is a outstanding person in the history of our language. Through hundreds of years,The Shuo wenjiezi(Shuowen) has many errors.Trying to restore its Original appearance is what the Linguists have always does.The most influential book in which is the Duan Yucai’s Annotation to ShuoWenJieZi. He is marked by use of textual criticism Textual Criticism means relying Xu Shen, comprehensive exam Xu Kai this and other classic literature, On the one hand,he made a large number of additions and deletions to the Shuowen.On the other hand, he try to reveal the purpose and style of Shuowen by kinds of means. We can say that he has been received remarkable achievements.We take the ShuoWenJieZi which is published in1963compared with Duanzhu in the third part, and found258differences, which we call the"Corrections" as the object of this thesis. After summarized,we divided these Corrections into three types:Correction with words; Correction without words; Correction within words.Under the each chapter, the Correction can be categorized into five types depending on the content:to correct the shape of the character;to correct the meaning of the character; to correct the structure analysis and pronunciation analysis of the character; to correct the quotation of the character. On the basis of this classification,we make some analysis one by one.In the final pary of our thesis, we have summarized the four reasons of "Words without correction"in Duanzhu by comparing the three categories:No assurance, lacking of confidence; Change "rather" than "must"; Know this is wrong, but do not know what is right; Select one between two points of view temporarily. Finally, we assessed briefly on the "Corrections" in the third sections of Annotation to Shuo WenJieZi and put forward to the idea of studying comprehensively on the Corrections and System of Duanzhu.
