A Study On The "Correction" In The Forth Sections Of Annotation To Shuo Wenjiezi

This thesis investigates Duan Yucai’s Corrections in the forth Section of Annotation to Shuo WenJieZi(Duanzhu)by exhaustive collection of date, item-by-item check and classification.Through hundreds of years,The Shuo WenJieZi(Shuowen)has many errors.Trying to restore its original content is what the linguists have always done.The most influential book in that time is the Duan yucai’s Annotation to Shuo WenJieZi. On the one hand,he made a large number of correction of Shuowen.On the other hand,he tried to reveal personal theory of Chinese language and Chinese character.We take the Shuo Wen Jie Zi which is published in1963compare with forth section of Duanzhu, and find a lot differences,which we call the"Corrections"as the object of this thesis.We divide these Corrections into three types, and study different types in different chapters. There are four chapters in this thesis, the first chapter to third chapter study the "Correction", the last chapter summarize the successes and shortcomings objectively.
