With the great boom of material and spiritual civilization in modern society,hotels that merely providing basic accommodation can no longer satisfy customers’request, while characteristic ones with up-to-date design, cozy environment andpreferable service have been in the ascendant; therefore, the design of informationcommunication in refreshed formation, has been demanded for its neotericsignificance of times: it is no longer an oversimplified implement which barelyaimed at attracting customers or conveying informations, but loaded with thehistorical mission to transmit and amplify social and human value. Based on theessence of service industry, this paper outlines the development of hotel from theperspective of the designer. With the assistance from means inc luding semeiology,phenomenology and the network language, after inducing the information communicationof diverse hotels, the author takes one certain hotel as an example for exhaustive analysisand summarization to explore the feature of hotel information communication design andits developmental tendency towards digital arts in the future.
