Some early original classic of Marx and the co-classics of Marx and Engelscontains a wealth of value philosophy. Although in the early writings, they did notspecifically discuss the value philosophy, the "Human Being" as well as "HumanLiberation" run through their writings. The value thinking in the early writings ofMarx and Engels has important theoretical and practical significance for thedevelopment of Marxism in China, as well as the construction of socialism withChinese characteristics."Reality" is a the value subject in its early value thinking. Marx and Engels’sdiscussion of the "reality" fully demonstrated the essence of the person as well asthe value of the subject-the reality of people’s characteristics and revealed thevalue of human nature and human relationship. Based on interpretation of realitypeople, this paper will interpret the value of the nature of thinking in the earlyclassics. In Marx’s understanding, human activities follow the"object scale" and“internal scale”. This paper argues that the "object scale" reflects the valueobjectivity and internal scale emphasizes the value of the subjectivity. This showsthat the essence of Marx’s value is expressed as the subjectivity and the objectivityof value."Liberation" or "Free and overall development of the people" are Marxand Engels’ lifelong pursuits. The degree of liberation is developing with the socialand historical development while free and overall development of the people is thehighest stage of human liberation. Marx, Engels’ discussion about liberation islinked with human alienation. The process of eliminating alienation is the course ofthe people’s liberation. The liberation of the people has its profound meaning. Thispaper also summarizes Marx and Engels’ specific path to achieve the elimination ofalienation and liberation of the people. This paper argues that the "interests of themajority" is the value of Marx and Engels in the Communist practice evaluationcriteria This evaluation criteria is based on the perspectives on the masses foundedby Marx and Engels.
