The legend of prankster Liu Kexue is widely circulated in Shandong Rizhao area.In recent years, our country focus on the intangible cultural heritage protection work,and local culture departments are also actively response, The legend of prankster LiuKexue is declared as provincial intangible cultural heritage projects, which providesthe author a good opportunity for cultural studies of this legend.In this paper, based on the theory of folk narrative’s ideology construction, usingthe method of text deconstruction, the writer try to analyze the public ethics ideawhich contained in the texts of the legend of Liu Kexue, and combined withConfucian culture as the macroscopic background, the text will shows the conformityand rebellious between people’s ideology and the orthodox Confucian ideology. Inorder to make the research concepts present a mutual interpretation of the wholesystem, This paper respectively follow the filial piety, benevolence, wisdom, andofficial to people, teacher majesty, sex ethics, vulgar.etc. to describe and analyze theConfucian ethics and aesthetic image involved in the legend of prankster Liu Kexue.According to the information collection and taking into account the dialects, thelegend of prankster Liu Kexue is circulated in Shandong Rizhao area mainly.Combined with the Confucian Culture in the area, if trying to make an analysis of thelegend on the ideological perspective, it is first of all to represent the legend’s folkstance, and then expand on this basis, showing the adaptation and rebellious betweenthose orthodox ideology reflected in the texts of this folk legend and the Confucianideology. The conformity is basically introduced in terms of filial piety, righteousnessand ingenuity, and the rebellion between the whole myth reflected in "common" folkaesthetic and the Confucian culture is reflected by Liu Kexue’s mocking countymagistrate, playing tricks on teacher, molesting women, and vulgar. Conclusion:conformity and rebellious to upper orthodox Confucian ideology are all involved incivil society. However, Confucian ethics as a social moral bottom line, people can’trebel it in the fundamental, they are mostly making natural challenges to those normswhich contrary to human nature, but can’t form their own moral consciousnesssystem.
