The early years of Qing Dynasty, the calligrapher’s creation were only the pursuit ofmorphologically similari, so Post School of calligraphy creation had been out of the original trajectoryabout calligraphy in Jin Dynasty, showing the weak trend in " Gu Li ", at the same time, Stele Schoolof calligraphy appeared in Qing Dynasty calligraphy, showing " force strong " look, then caused theupsurge of learning about Stele School of calligraphy. Two School calligraphy duel ended inone-sided development tendency. Finally, Stele School of calligraphy occupied the main position ofQing Dynasty calligraphy. But, before Post School of calligraphy went down to the second place, italso had a small climax, in this climax, emerged so many Post School calligraphers. For example: LiuYong, Liang Tongshu, Wang Wenzhi, Yong Xing and so on. Among them, to a certain extent, LiangTongshu enhanced his calligraphy influence with his ninety-three years age at that time.This thesis takes Liang Tongshu’s calligraphy art as the object of study, explores the reasons forhis success. While the in-depth study of Liang Tongshu’s calligraphy creation, the author will first ofall make a general introduction to the part of Liang Tongshu’s life, family history and social life thatare related to calligraphy. And then combine his calligraphy creation with Confucianism, Buddhism,family influence, social background and so on to investigate. Whereafter, discussing about the theoryof Liang Tongshu’s creation, this thesis applies the aesthetic point of view to the exploration of theaesthetic ideology in his theory. At the same time, seeking the aesthetic characteristics in his life story,painting and calligraphy preface and postscript. This paper objectively analyses the characteristic andinfluence about the Liang Tongshu’s calligraphy, still standing at the macro and micro level, takesLiang Tongshu calligraphy into history, genre and the groups to comprehensively analysis thecharacteristics of the times, the genre characteristics and the personal characteristics which aredifferent from the calligraphers of the time.Liang Tongshu’s90years of life actually was a golden period of development of Qing Dynastycalligraphy, so doing his calligraphy research will not only enhance mutual understanding of LiangTongshu’s calligraphy, but also further clarify the overall context of the Post School of calligraphy inQing Dynasty.
