The author takes the interview with Gary Locke from Dialogue as the corpus for asimultaneous interpretation exercise, and analyzes the problems in the interpretationprocedure. The report consists of five parts. In first two chapters, the author briefly describesthe task of the interpretation and the procedure of the task. In Chapter three, the authorelaborately expounds the preparation before the interpretation, including the research of thebackground; the predicted and relative vocabulary; the preparation of voice recordingequipment. In Chapter four, the author picks out several typical examples of the task toanalyze that how to deal with the problems in the procedure with some methods. Finally, theauthor gives some suggestions based on the problems found. |
