The author was authorized by Transn (China) Network Technology Co. Ltd., andcommissioned by the translation task of the Northeast Asia Economic and TradeCooperation Forum. This report is a simultaneous interpretation with text, whichselected the speech of Sun Zhengcai, the secretary of Jilin Provincial Party Committee,and Jiang Zengwei, the Vice Minister of Commerce Department as a case to explore theproblems that the author encountered in the translation process and the solutions that theauthor adopted, and discussed in-depth the interaction between theory and practice.After the acception of the task, the author prepared before translation from thefollowing three aspects: the knowledge of the language, the thematic knowledge and thetheoretical knowledge, and sorted out the gist and circled the key point during thetemporary preparation. After the translation task, the author summed up the problemsencountered in the process of interpretation and recalled the scene during the case study,and specific analysis the three representative problems and described how to select theappropriate simultaneous interpreted strategies, then make a detailed analysis that howto slove the problems by the three strategies: the Implementation of Syntactic Linearity,the Implementation of Simplification and the Application of Strategies to Response toPredicamentsThrough the practice, the author found: firstly, the importance of preparationbefore translation to the simultaneous interpretation, and combined the theory ofinterpretational school to make a reposition for the preparation before the translation;secondly, in the problem-solving process, the common point of solving the threeproblems is "Extract the core meaning", then depending on different circumstances toadopt the interpretating skills and make specific operations, it follows the core theory“paraphrase" of the interpretational school. Show that the theory of the interpretationalschool could produced the guidance influence to the selection and application ofstrategies for the interpretation with text, and confirmed again that the theory andpractice are linked closely, they are inseparable and supplement each other.In this task, the author not only gained the valuable experience but also set a firm confidence for the future translation work. However, combined the theory of theinterpretational school and problems of that solved in the interpreting practice process.Still many aspects are not observed, which is one practical direction need to becontinued.
