The interpretation practice report is based on my consecutive interpretation of anacademic lecture. The report demonstrates difficulties encountered in the interpretationpractice, analyses the proper interpretation and makes an in-depth study and summary. The report consists of five major parts, the task description, the procedure description, interpretation preparation, the case analysis and the summary and conclusion. The taskdescription is a brief introduction of the interpreting practice, including the time, place, audience, and related information about this practice. The procedure description has adetailed description of the overall interpretation practice. Interpretation preparation is madeup of two parts, a comprehensive analysis of the frame of the materials related to the lecture, and the collection of translations of words, expressions and sentences, which make goodpreparation for the real practice. Case analysis is the core of this practice report. Using theinterpretation skills I have learned from class, I make a in-depth analysis of translation ofsome proper nouns, abstract phrases, short sentences and complex sentences. Some of thetranslations work well, but some need improvement. Therefore, in the summary andconclusion I generalize a profound summary based on this practice, and share the lesson Ihave gain from the practice.
