In view of this phenomenon, thisessay try to summarize some creation tendencies of contemporary regular script.In this paper, a case study method and the comparative method, respectively, from the horizontaland vertical analyzes of the contemporary regular script creation,The creation tendencies ofcontemporary regular script can be divided into two. One is the traditional creation tendency ofcontemporary regular script.In this tendency, calligraphers use classic rubbings to practice techniqueof writing and structures of regular script, learning the styles of ancient writers completely. Thesecond one is converged creation tendency of regular script.Converged means a new style formed byabsorbing Zhuanshu style, Lishu style and Xingcao style. This is a tendency that can stimulate thecreation of contemporary script by converging different styles. In present creations of regular script,the Caoshu-nizition of regular script is a good way to form unique art style. The Caoshu-nizition ofregular script or converging different styles to create new styles and structures are the main features ofcontemporary creation of regular script.
