Abstract:Originating in the Eastern Han Dynasty, regular script was formed and well developed from the Wei and Jin Dynasties to the Sui and Tang Dynasties. Starting from the history of regular script, the essay analyses the different forms of regular script combined with the simple and unadorned calligraphy aesthetic ideal. It points out how to choose adaptable writing tools and explores the pathway of regular script creation through analysing and copying the calligraphic samples.
