In the early17thcentury Oirat Mongolia formally accepted Tibetan Buddhist.In the17thcentury Oirat Mongolia the period of internal and external problems, theTsarists forces continued into the East, in the Northeast Manchu nobility forces beginstrength to strength, in the west active Kazakh tribal alliance. Oirant Mongolianoutbreak several large-scale war with Khalkha Mongolian. Oirat Mongolia lost a lotof pasture and forcing them moving eastward continually. In Tibet, the conflictbetween various sects of Tibetan Buddhism intensified and the Gelugpa suppressfrom the regime which is supported the Karma Kagyu sect and othe regime. Thesituation is grim. The second half of the16thcentury the Tibetan Gelugpa sect preachthe eastern Mongolian tribe Tomoto. Since the east Mongolian Altan Khan and theHierarch of Tibetan Buddhism Sonam Gyatso give each other appellation, DalailamaIV turn was born in Mongolians the development of the Gelugpa sect is fast. Theend of the16thcentury to the early of17thcentury Oirat Mongolia became fullyaccepted the Gelugpa sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Through the analysis and combingof the relevant literature and data collection and using the basic method ofmaterialism and historical materialism analysis the reasons for the acceptance ofGelugpa sect of Tibetan Buddhism. This thesis consists of five chapters. The firstchapter discussed the significance of the topics, research methods and researchinnovation and difficulties. The second chapter discussed the Oirat Mongolian tribes.The third chapter discussed the process of the acceptance of the Gelugpa sect ofTibetan Buddhism. The forth chapter discussed the reasons of the Oirat Mongoliaaccepted the Gelugpa sect,this is also the focus of the thesis. The last chapter is theconclusion of the thesis.
