The author has chosen the Buddhism terms in Wang fanzhi’s poetry as article objects, the author has empharsized on the combination of synchronic study and diachronic study with helps of statistics, conclusion and analysis. Also the author has widely quoted documents from Buddhism and Chinese local papers to fully express the comprehensiveness of the analysis on these terms.The article has four parts. The first part goes by the introduction, it is mainly about the life of Wang Fanzhi, the sketch of his poetry and some related research. The second and third parts are the main body of this article. The second part is the focal point also the difficult one. The author has accomplished the classification of Buddhism terms in Wang’s poetry, especially has differentiated in transliteration words and hybrid words. The author also has took some terms for example to maintain the futher research results in the secularization of these terms. The third part has discussed about the language value of Buddhism terms in Wang’s poetry including the secularization of Buddhism terms and their influence about Chinese vocabulary. The fourth part is the conclusion.This article is aimed at adding up the information of Buddhism terms in Wang fanzhi’s poetry and analyzing the secularization of Buddhism terms in its history. It is easy to find out that Buddhism terms has enriched Chinese vocabulary incredibly while doing the research, and the article could be much valuable for deeper research in Buddhism terms from Wang fanzhi’s poetry.
