There is a growing interest in recent years for the Costume Culture of Chu Ci，which as a crucial part of the Culture System of Chu Dynasty, provided extremelyimportance for the research of Chu Ci and related culture, which also proved that thecharm of Chu Ci lies not only in the area of literature, but also in the ifeld of Folkloreresearch.There are ifve chapters in this article. The ifrst chapter mainly gives a generalintroduction to the costume in Chu Ci, discussion ranges from shape, material, colorto graph, based on the past research along with the latest unearthed relics，gives out acomprehensive study, with the expectation that the readers can get into the this articleto the highest degree possible from the ifrst chapter.The second chapter contains3subsections, discussed the following3topicsrespectively: the major similarities and differences between the costume in Chu Ciand that of Zhou Dynasty; the difference with the costume of the minorities in thegeographical area of Wu and Yu; the difference comparing to the costumes in TheBook of S“ngs are that "Natural vs. Decorated”“，Simple vs. luxur"oy, Strong vs.Slender”.The third chapter concludes the uniqueness of the costume in Chu Ci, bycomparing with the previous chapters, after a series of detailed analysis, exampledemonstration and summarization for the uniqueness, the author points out3characterizations for the Chu Ci costume, i.e., the preference for luxury, phoenix andRed.The fourth chapter starts from the3characterizations, with deeper and deeperinvestigation, end up with3main conclusions for the Chu Ci costume culture. Firstly,the culture background of Chu, with aspects of natural environment, textile techniqueand folklore; Secondly，the symbolism and metaphor of so called “xiang cao mei ren”，the author also expressed disagreement to the idea of “nan nv jun cheng zhi "yu whentalking about this topic; thirdl’y, its about the special personality of Qu Yuan and thepeople of Chu, with this topic, the author upgraded the importance and great value ofthe costume of Chu Ci by discussing “the spirit of chasing freedom and romanticism" as well as ‘‘the noble character".The iffth chapter mainly discussed the great influence of the costume of Chu Ci.The conclusion part summarized its importance and great value in literature andfolklore，with disadvantages of this article.
