In the human long history, there is no doubt that the human dress is the characterization of human culture. From the evolution of costumes, we can see the trace of times' changing clearly and the development of social productive forces, as well as the changes of aesthetic and spiritual sense in mentality. Qiang's costume, as one kind of the Chinese costumes, with a distinctive ethnic characteristics, heavy local flavor and full of common living, is an important part of all the Qiang people's culture. By studying Qiang's costumes, we can observe the history, living environment, traditional crafts, ethnic psychology, aesthetic taste, religious beliefs, as well as the level of development of social productive forces and others of the Qiang people which reflected by the costumes.This paper guided by folklore and human culture science, uses such methods: theory of ethnology, folklore studies and the study of human culture. After a site visiting from Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture of Aba to Beichuan Qiang Autonomous County, it makes a detailed study about the Qiang's costumes in the village Qiang people living; and on the basis of the combination of relevant information provided by cultural sector, the public in Council, the Qiang folks, and the researching experiences of other minorities costumes in the field, it researches the Qiang costumes more precisely in the author's own view. And through the village to investigate a solid Qiang costumes and characteristics of the division of the district has been divided and summed up.In the end of paper, through analyzing the challenges to the current situation, the effective way to protect, and the role of the value of culture and academic research in the process of modernization, the author put forward his own opinion for these issues.
