Intangible cultural heritage protection is a multi-disciplinary participationproposition, such as protection theoretical research, policies and regulations, publiceducation and the cultivation of professional heir. This article based on the review andsum conducted in related areas of academic history, and take the Common belief ofHsi Wang Mu for instance. The author discusses the connotation, core content, valueand protection of the Common belief of Hsi Wang Mu, thinks the Common belief ofHsi Wang Mu is evolved from primitive religion, and the sacrificial activitiesheld heldat the fixed time and place, take annual or several times a year, and the Commonbelief of Hsi Wang Mu is a general term for Hsi Wang Mu in folks; Jing Sichuan, asthe literature records temple location of Hsi Wang Mu Temple, the Common belief ofHsi Wang Mu has a long history in local, and by Hsi Wang Mu sacrificial rituals tocommemorate the temple evolved to become the heritage of thousands of preciousnon-material cultural heritage. Due to various limitations, the protection of theCommon belief of Hsi Wang Mu in Jingchuan is a lack of systematic research andplanning, lack of professionals and inheritors face new and old fault, the authorproposes such as to hold the worship of the Hsi Wang Mu in Jingchuan to be a publicmemorial, to take a protection plan about the Common belief of Hsi Wang Mu, toinvite relevant institutions involved in the science Evaluation system of conservationquantitative indicators, to carry out public education heritage identity, to carrie outthe relevant courses to train professionals in normal universities and other measures,in order to provide a reference value for future conservation efforts.
