Metamemory monitoring and control are important forms of metamemory. There are two relation models between monitoring and control——the MC Model and the CM Model. The MC Model emphasizes that the metamemory control follows monitoring and is based on the results of monitoring. But the CM Model indicates that the monitoring follows control operations and is based on the feed back from the control. The Judgment of Learning(JOL) and the allocation of Study Time(ST) are important parts of metamemory monitoring and control. Therefore, based on these Models, there are different relationships between JOLs and ST, and ST displays a dual function in the different driven models. The aim of this study is to verify the two different relationship between JOLs and ST in MC Model or in CM Model, then also try to explore the condition for the interconversion of these two different relationships. The first experiment adopts the model of self-paced study, through setting of learning program different forcast possibilities, induce different driven models of ST, then check the different relationships between JOLs and ST. The second experiment adopts the conditions of time limit and no time limit, to explore the interconversion of the relationships of JOLs and ST.The conclusions came out as follows.(1) When the allocation of study time is goal driven, judgment of learning increase with increasing of study time, accord with the MC Model; when the allocation of study time is data driven, judgment of learning decrease with increasing of study time, accord with the CM Model.(2)The driven models of ST and the relationships betweeen JOLs and ST will interverse with time limit. When there was time limit, the allocation of study time is goal driven, judgment of learning increase with increasing of study time; when there was no time limit, the allocation of study time is datal driven, judgment of learning decrease with increasing of study time.
